We ate and drank well at Chez Reed this month. My body’s paying the price. Back to salads and water next week but for now, lets ring in the new year right!

2024 was a stepping stone year for me in my career

2024 was a stepping stone year for me in my career, my personal growth, and my professional development. I can’t wait to see how 2025 unfolds!

In 2024:
🎁 I watched one of my dearest friends recover from an aneurism that had taken her life twice!
💍🏡My son got engaged and purchased his first home.
💪I added public speaking to my professional repertoire including two events that empowered women in cybersecurity.
📖I started working on a book.
😿We said goodbye to a beloved cat.
😻Adopted a new kitty.
🚪We made some major improvements to our home.
👩🏻‍🍳And I baked a ton of cookies and cakes along the way!

I’m tired for sure but also energized by the prospect of all the possibilities that lie ahead. Thank you to all of you who have supported me and HRO in 2024!

My first attempt at Sweet Potato Pave. I was delightfully surprised the more than half of my sweet potatoes were actually white when I peeled them. I honestly did j le that was even a thing. But it made for an artful plating to layer the orange and white like this. This took me a couple of hours to make but it was the star of the show! Everyone loved it and I will definitely make it again!
